The Albanian Community Association was established in 2003 and became a member of BBEMI.

The main aims of the Albanian Community is to provide learning provision, citizenship courses, educational trips and address racism in and out of schools and across the wider community as a whole and finally advocacy in terms of Asylum claims or Refugee status and other transition.

BACA Aims:

  • To empower our community to continuously, fairly and effectively identify our own needs.
  • To empower our community to develop ourselves and our children to the fullest potential.
  • To empower our Community to integrate positively and harmoniously with other communities.
  • To empower our community to support each other and retain our cultural heritage and language.

Taste of Cultural Diversity event held on 15th October 2006 in Barnsley. It’s a social event with Live Music, Dance and creative workshop as well as giving you the chance to taste food from the many different cultures that now call Barnsley home.
