Gujarat Association of Barnsley is once again helding this year's "Switching on" Diwali Lights, 6:30pm Tuesday 13th October in Barnsley Town Centre Precinct outside (Littlewoods). Everyone is invited to come along and enjoy this cultural celebration!

Gujarat Association of Barnsley is inviting everyone to attend this year's Dushera/Diwali Celebration. It will be held on Saturday 31st October 2009 at Worboro Sports and Development Welfare Hall, Park Road, Barnsley S70 5LJ.

The celebration is packed with cultural and fun activities. A small fee is charged at entrance.

The Mayors Parade held on 21st July 2007. The success of Barnsley ’s Summer Carnival and Parade was matched only by the great weather, as crowds flocked to the town centre on Saturday.

Around 15,000 people came to the event and were entertained by live music, street theatre, children's entertainment and a street parade of more than 1,000 people. People of all ages from many different organisations made up the walking parade.

Republic Day Celebrations held on 27th January 2007, was a night of addresses from the Mayor and other guests by enjoying refreshments, music and dance.

The GAB Community was present at the "Taste of Cultural Diversity event" held on 15th October 2006 at the Barnsley Town Hall Cultural. It was a social event with Live Music, Dance and creative workshop as well as giving you the chance to taste food from the many different cultures that now call Barnsley home.
