For the past two years, BBEMI has been a major contributor to the ABDF; sitting as a member of the steering group, organising events, supporting funding applications and supplying many of the volunteers that are needed to make the events happen.

Throughout the year, BBEMI, along with their member communities organise and host many of the cultural celebrations synonymous with the many backgrounds, races and ethnicities. These events hail from every corner of the globe and include such celebrations as Divali, Vaisakhi, Eid, Chinese Moon Festival, Chinese New Year, Pakistan Independence Day Sand the celebrations included under the banner of the ABDF such as, Satisfy My Soul, Diversity in Muslim Culture, Carnival de Barnsley, the BBEMI Sports Day, Bollywood Film Night and a Taste of Cultural Diversity.

BBEMI is also involved with many of the strategic and artistic bodies from around the borough, which are responsible for the provision and delivery of the creative arts in and around Barnsley. By remaining a major contributor to strategic, cultural and creative art forms in Barnsley BBEMI will continue to offer high quality and unique events to its clientele.
